Although it’s just a week-long, Pro Bono Week (the last week of October) gets a longer shelf life in many states where it’s extended over the course of the month. States like Alabama, Michigan, and Tennessee are hosts to month-long pro bono events.
Ever since 2009, law offices and legal corporate counsel have been participating in the American Bar Association’s National Celebration of Pro Bono. Most attorneys engage in pro bono to fulfil their required pro bono hours, but almost all of them find an amazing sense of inner fulfilment which brings them back again and again to volunteer.
