Although it’s just a week-long, Pro Bono Week (the last week of October) gets a longer shelf life in many states where it’s extended over the course of the month. States like Alabama, Michigan, and Tennessee are hosts to month-long pro bono events. [1]
Ever since 2009, law offices and legal corporate counsel have been participating in the American Bar Association’s National Celebration of Pro Bono. Most attorneys engage in pro bono to fulfil their required pro bono hours, but almost all of them find an amazing sense of inner fulfilment which brings them back again and again to volunteer. [2]

10TH Annual Celebration of Pro Bono Week
Where: Madison, Illinois
What: The Third Judicial Circuit Pro Bono Committee will recognize the 10th annual National Celebration of Pro Bono Week and celebrate the Madison County attorneys who have provided free legal advice and education, and handled mediations and other court appointments without charge through the court’s programs.
When: A recognition luncheon will begin at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018 at the LeClaire Room in Edwardsville. [3]
ABA Free Legal Answers

What: ABA Free Legal Answers, hosted by North Carolina lawyers to offer free legal counseling, aid, and services to victims of Hurricane Florence.

Hampden County’s Pro Bono Week and Legal Clinic
Where: Hampden County Bar Association office, on the first floor of the Roderick L. Ireland Courthouse, 50 State St., Springfield.
What: Pro Bono Week and Legal Clinic. The week will consist of various Lawyer for the Day programs, which allow individuals to speak with a local, experienced attorney in-person, free of charge, in the areas of housing, family law and general civil matters.
